About Us
Aqaba Diving Services was formed to fill a gap in the market here in Jordan. After repeatedly being called upon to complete underwater work at deeper depths and in extreme conditions we decided to offer our services directly to the market. At Dive Aqaba established in 2002 we pioneered mixed gas and technical diving in Jordan and now have a team of divers trained to higher levels. We have formed partnership with Sinai Marine Services that can complete the engineering side of any project with access to plant and heavy equipment required for the job. We are diving section of this company and have security clearance to work underwater anywhere in Jordan.Past Projects
Our chief diving supervisor, Rod Abbotson, has been resident in Jordan since 1993. He completed internal inspection work on pipelines for the ABB Power Station project, supplying underwater photographs of all the internal pipe joints. He also successfully worked in the Dead Sea for Kier International on the brine extraction project in one of the most harsh diving environments in the world. More recently Rod put a team together to survey the sluice gate system at Wadi Mujib dam working successfully in conditions of zero visibility and a temperature of just 4 °C!Latest Projects
Aqaba Diving Services and Sinai Marine services installed a deep water ships mooring for the Arab Bridge Maritime shipping company. The ability to work at depths greater than 40m utilising mixed gases for longer underwater times and complete multiple decompression dives using accelerated decompression techniques enabled the job to be completed. Work was carried out on the project from 45 - 80m depth by our divers.
